What we do is help you be a better you. Masterpiece Fitness Training, LLC might look like a gym or a group exercise studio, but MFT is really a place that helps you be a better you. When you accomplish something you’ve dreamed about, you become a better person. There is nothing like the feeling of achieving a well thought out goal! You walk taller, more confidently, more self-assured. This translates into better relationships, more productivity, and a sharper mind to do more of what you do! The gym is a perfect place to learn to set goals and accomplish them. We use physical strength, and endurance goals to help you become a better you! Why I started I started Masterpiece Fitness Training because I wanted to introduce people of all ages and fitness levels to a type of exercise and athletic training that is fun, and transfers effectively to what they do in real life. Functional Fitness All people need to reach, squat, hover, twist, push, pull, drag, run, hop, react quickly, balance on all kinds of surfaces, and cradle heavy objects in one arm while navigating past obstacles-- to name a few- in their real lives. At Masterpiece Fitness Training we use the most up-to-date equipment to get all people to live their most fit, able, functional, athletic self. The body was meant to work in all planes of motion, decelerating and accelerating and stabilizing movement. It was not meant to sit in some cumbersome, performance-limiting contraption. Boot Camp Fit - Descriptions, Why, Benefits
What's so special about Boot Camp Fitness? Why Boot Camp Fitness? In Boot Camp we use metabolic conditioning. That means we use an exercise training formula that increases or improves your ability to burn fat long after the workout is done. It also means that you burn more calories during your workout (than if you were to do steady-state exercise.) Also, as a Boot Camp Fitness participant you have more accountability. You'll get regular text & Facebook updates and encouragement. The group you join will expect you to show up for each class, and they'll cheer at all your successes. What is Boot Camp Fitness? The exercises consist of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that will tax your cardiovascular system as well as your muscular system. You will be asked to go harder, longer and faster than you are comfortable going. You will be asked to lift harder, longer and heavier than you are comfortable lifting. What is Boot Camp Fitness not? However, this is NOT an all or nothing class! This is not a finish at all costs class! This is a class where you are asked to finish well. That means you listen to your body. You take breaks and rest when you need it. You do not listen to the timer or to me if one of us is asking you to continue, but you need a break. HIIT Rationale All of the research for many years has pointed to HIIT as the MOST effective and efficient way to burn fat faster. Plus, only when you train with weights will you cause your body to lose weight AND gain muscle. A more muscular body has a higher metabolism than a fatter one, so you want muscle. (Diet alone, and cardio plus diet alone will cause you to lose muscle.) “Fat Loss” Masterpiece Fitness Training, LLC is not “about” losing fat. We exist to help people (by teaching effective exercise) live life with more energy and zest for the things they are called to do. A healthier body is more willing and able to do more for the benefit of others. Any comments about “losing fat” are because the reality is that the obesity rate has hit epidemic proportions. It is the cause of most of our current health issues. Anyone who is over fat is not as healthy as he/she would be as a leaner person. Losing fat is the most effective way to live healthy and it is almost always completely under the person's control.
Boot Camp Fit - Prices
Each Camp is 6 weeks. You can sign up for 1, 2, or 3 days a week. You must pre-pay for all sessions before the deadline date. Cost is $48 for 1 time per week; $84 for 2 times per week; $126 for 3 times per week If you miss a class in the 6-week Camp, you can make it up only during that Camp time-period. Boot Camp Fit * -- Want a challenging and super-fast way of getting in the best shape of your life? Try Boot Camp Fitness at MFT! This is a HIIT class. Count on plenty of heart-pumping cardio with muscle and strength-building resistance exercises. Blast your way to a stronger you with enthusiastic instructors who know what they are doing! Each class lasts 6 weeks. *Special Fees Apply and must be prepaid before classes begin. HIIT -- High Intensity Interval Training is a generic term used to describe short, intense bursts of (often) anaerobic exercises with less intense recovery periods. With HIIT you become a fat-burning machine more than any other form of exercise. HIIT may or may not incorporate weights. MFT Walkers -- Walking is one of the most beneficial exercises we can do. It builds or improves cardiorespiratory base, and is good for the mind and spirit. Different routes and goals will be offered regularly. SpinFit -- Indoor Cycling High Intensity Interval Training. Assumption of Risk: Physical activity, by its very nature, carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. Activities may include strenuous exertions of strength using various muscle groups, some involve quick movements involving speed and change of direction, and others involve sustained physical activity, which places stress on the cardiovascular system. I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in the activities made possible by Andrea Bowden and Masterpiece Fitness Training and any fitness instructor teaching for Masterpiece Fitness Training. I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks. Indemnification and Hold Harmless: I also agree to indemnify and hold Andrea Bowden and Masterpiece Fitness Training and any instructor teaching for Masterpiece Fitness Training harmless for any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs expenses damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees brought as a result of my involvement at and to reimburse them for such expenses incurred. Severability: The undersigned further expressly agrees that the foregoing waiver and assumptions of risks agreement is intended to be as a broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Oregon and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. Functional Interval Training with Masterpiece Fitness Training. (F.I.T. w/MFT) • Grow your community with group fitness at your home, in your local park, at your church, or at your business. No need to be a certified trainer. Just have the interest and ability to lead a group safely using your own fitness equipment and the tips and tools offered by a certified 30-year veteran in the fitness industry. • Share free videos of the entire workout. You can use these videos to practice the routine, or just for exercise in privacy. Or you can share it with group members for their in-home workout when you can’t meet together. • Your F.I.T w/MFT membership allows you to receive a weekly workout with a schematic of how to set up the room and how to time it, and a link to view clips of how to perform each exercise correctly. Membership will give you everything you need to lead a group safely and effectively. • For Coaches who want to take their training further, purchase a “Pro” level membership. Andrea Bowden, owner of MFT has been leading group exercise for more than 30 years. She is an ACE certified personal trainer, a weight management specialist and a sport conditioning specialist. She has trained hundreds of women using science-based programs with the latest fitness equipment for maximum efficiency, functionality and fun. The training a fitness leader will get with F.I.T w/ MFT will allow small and/or rural communities to get together for an excellent, professionally choreographed and expertly executed class that is fun and functional for all fitness levels. There are hundreds of under-served communities, and too few certified trainers to serve these communities. Small Group Personal Fitness Training Agreement
Authorization Agreement I agree to submit payment to Masterpiece Fitness Training at a rate of $ _________________ for the six-week training cycle, beginning ____________________ (mm/yy). I am selecting the following option to ensure my account is in good standing for the 6-week cycle(s): Option #1: I will pay the full amount for the existing 6-week cycle, and for the following 6-week cycle, together, due at signing. Any membership dues not collected one week after training begins will cause member’s account to fall out of good standing with MFT, thus temporarily suspending the right to attend any training sessions, classes or open gym times until all applicable fees are collected. All fees are non-refundable. If the member whishes to change the type of membership, there must be a 30 day notice, as well as an amendment to this contract signed by both Andrea and the member. Membership The classification of members, the amount of dues payable by the members, the amount of admission, the suspension and expulsion of members, and all other matters affecting or relating to the membership shall be under the complete control of Andrea Bowden, Masterpiece Fitness Training, LLC and agents, officers, principals, employees and volunteers of either organization (herein MFT). The dues applicable to any type of membership and other charges imposed by MFT may be amended by MFT at any time with a minimum of 10 business days’ notice. MFT reserves the right to charge members different monthly rates. Delinquent Accounts In the event that the member defaults on the obligation, MFT has the right to collect all monies due in an accelerated manner plus any fees charged by a collection agency, and/or any attorney fees, including court fees. Late or Returned Charges Any balance not paid 7 days after the start of the 6-week period begins will be subject to a $5/day late fee. Any accounts not brought to zero balance by 15 days after the 6-week period begins will result in forfeiture of the rest of that month’s membership and the current membership agreement. If the member would like to keep going after that, the member will pay all balances in full and then resign a new membership agreement. Initial _______________ A $25.00 fee will be charged to the member account for a returned check or draft as a result of insufficient funds, closed account, or similar circumstance. Initial ________________ Hours of Operation Operation schedules may vary and are subject to change from time to time. The facility may be closed on some holidays. Unavailability of Facility or Services I agree to accept the fact that the facility or a particular service in the premises may be unavailable at any particular time due to mechanical breakdown, fire, act of God, condemnation, loss of leases, catastrophe and any other reason. Further, I agree not to hold MFT responsible or liable for such occurrences. Initial ________________ Use of Pictures/Videos/Likeness I agree to allow MFT to use pictures, film, digital media, social media of me for advertising and promotion purposes. In the event I choose not to allow the use of the same for said purposes, I agree I must inform MFT of this in writing. Initial ____________ Right to Freeze/Cancel I understand that if I need to take a short break from membership, I must request a temporary “Freeze” from my membership in writing to MFT. And I understand I must pay a “Freeze” fee of $_______________/month. I understand that Freezing a membership is an agreement between me and MFT and both parties must sign the written agreement before the Freeze begins.
